We have an extensive network of highly qualified professionals from Eastern Europe across various industries. Whether you’re looking for temporary workers, subcontractors, or long-term employees—we’ll find the right people for you.
When recruiting employees from Eastern Europe, German companies must comply with a number of regulations. Here is an overview of the most important requirements:
Temporary Employment Act (AÜG)
When providing temporary workers, the provisions of the AÜG must be followed: authorization from the Federal Employment Agency (BA), equal pay after 9 months, a maximum assignment period of 18 months, and legally compliant contracts. We have all the necessary authorizations.
Minimum Wage & Social Security
The statutory minimum wage and industry-specific minimum wages (e.g., construction, electrical) must always be observed. Social security contributions are paid correctly in the respective state.
EU Citizens: Free Movement of Workers
For workers from EU countries (Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Baltic countries) The free movement of workers applies—no work permit or visa is required. Only the A1 certificate must be available in the case of a posting.
Non-EU Citizens: Skilled Worker Immigration Act
For employees from non-EU countries (e.g.,. Ukraine) Additional regulations apply: the Skilled Worker Immigration Act, as well as specific visa and residency requirements depending on the country. We are familiar with all country-specific requirements and provide support throughout the entire process.
A1 Certificate
For cross-border postings within the EU, the A1 certificate is required. It certifies that the employee remains covered by social security in their home country and prevents double contributions. We apply for this certificate for all posted employees.
Recognition of Qualifications
In regulated professions (e.g., nursing, certain engineering professions), foreign degrees must be recognized. We provide support in this process and check in advance whether any recognition procedures are required and, if so, which ones.
