The same legal framework applies to temporary agency work from Bulgaria as to all other Eastern European EU countries. The Temporary Employment Act (AÜG) sets forth the conditions under which temporary workers may be employed in Germany. The Federal Employment Agency monitors compliance.
- EU Freedom of Movement: Bulgarian citizens do not need a work permit—as EU citizens, they are allowed to work in Germany without restrictions.
- AÜG Permit: As a staffing agency, we hold the legally required license from the Federal Employment Agency.
- Equal Pay: After 9 months, Bulgarian temporary workers are entitled to the same pay as the permanent staff at the host company.
- Maximum assignment period: The maximum assignment period is 18 months with the same client (subject to adjustment under the collective bargaining agreement).
- Construction Industry: Additional restrictions apply to the construction industry (Section 1b of the AÜG). Please check with us in advance if your company operates in this sector.
- A1 Certificate: For cross-border assignments, we provide the required A1 certificate for all employees.
As your staffing agency, we handle the entire process—from the search to the ongoing assignment. This includes:
- Recruitment and Temporary Staffing of Workers from Bulgaria and Throughout Eastern Europe
- Recognition and Verification of Workers' Qualifications
- Obtaining all necessary permits and certificates
- Drafting Legally Sound Contracts That Comply with the German Temporary Employment Act (AÜG)
- Arranging travel and lodging for employees

- Handling of all payroll processing, social security, and administrative tasks
We have a pool of employees from all relevant industries in Bulgaria and throughout Eastern Europe. The following sectors are particularly well represented: Locksmith, Electrician and plumbers—but the program also covers skilled workers in the construction industry, agriculture, manufacturing, and logistics.
